Raushanah Shareef is a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Lactation Counselor and Registered Dental Hygienist. Raushanah attended Howard University College of Dentistry, earning a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002. Raushanah then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Public Affairs from University of Texas in Arlington. When helping family members with experience as a former breastfeeding mom, she realized her passion for helping moms and babies. 

First becoming a Certified Lactation Counselor with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice in Albany, New York, she then started training and classes for Lactation Consulting in 2016. Raushanah received hundreds of hours of didactic and hands on training at local DFW hospital, in several areas of maternal health including, Labor and Delivery, NICU, postpartum inpatient and outpatient lactation services. Raushanah started Best Milk to provide personal, compassionate care and lactation support to the breastfeeding family.

Raushanah loves to spend time with friends and family as well as travel abroad. She has two grown children and enjoys researching and studying the history of human lactation.
